Takdeer’s experience sits at the intersection of government relations, strategic planning, and political analysis. With over five years of experience in strategic policy, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement, he advises organizations across highly regulated sectors, including defence, natural resources, energy, telecommunications, tobacco, and cannabis. His work spans both Canadian and international contexts, with a particular focus on initiatives involving the United States.
Takdeer has contributed to political campaigns at all three levels of government in Canada, as well as U.S. Senate races. Most recently, he served as Chair of GOTV for an MP’s successful election campaign. His experience also includes advancing advocacy strategies, navigating complex regulatory environments, and supporting client growth across sectors.
Earlier in his career, Takdeer supported national policy initiatives and major events within Canada’s public policy community, including mentorship programs, fundraising initiatives, and national conferences. He has also contributed to projects focused on combating anti-Semitism, amplifying underrepresented voices, and developing briefing materials for senior government officials on defence and procurement.
Takdeer is a regular contributor to national media and frequently participates in policy discussions and conferences. He holds a joint Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Dalhousie University.
