Daniel brings to his role a firsthand understanding of the legislative and procedural workings of the House of Commons. He participated directly in committee work across a broad range of policy and procedure files, including pre-budget consultations, witness invitations and summons, clause-by-clause study, report revision, and in-camera committee business, working alongside Members of Parliament, Ministers and their staff, senior officials and committee witnesses.
Most recently, Daniel supported Private Members’ Business through all its stages, aided in the coordination of Question Period and managed the tabling of sessional papers by federal ministries in close coordination with Cabinet, Table Officers and the Speaker’s office.
He has also contributed to Indigenous community engagement in the Ottawa River watershed, working directly with Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg and Pikwakanagan First Nation on cultural preservation initiatives and consulting with community Elders.
Daniel holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Ottawa and is fully bilingual in French and English.
