Michael Jones is a seasoned strategic and crisis communications advisor at the executive level, with twenty years experience in international organizations, and the Canadian federal government. He has a strong track record of driving challenging, multifaceted projects and working alongside an array of stakeholders to forge consensus and navigate sensitive issues. 

As a former advisor to the Prime Minister and a former Chief of Staff and senior advisor to several Ministers, Michael gained a deep understanding of how government makes decisions, and how programs and policies are shaped. He has worked on a broad range of files including Canada-US relations, trade, defence, development, immigration, and public safety.

Michael began his career in media relations and digital engagement at the World Bank, and has since worked in more than 40 countries on issues including food security, climate adaptation, and community-driven development. He has also helped rebuild communications and engagement strategies for several international organizations from the ground up.

Michael has been listed among ‘The Most Influential People in Government and Politics’ for being “practiced at dampening the clang of government endeavours gone awry.” He received his Master of Arts in International Affairs from Georgetown University, and has a Bachelor’s degree with Honours from Queen’s University, where he was admitted to the Tricolour Society.
