Merriah started her career in public opinion research with Harris/Decima in 2010. A researcher with mathematics academic training, Merriah has always been interested and adept with numbers, and brings this passion to her craft. She is recognized for developing forecasting models using linear and non-linear regression, classification models using discriminant analysis, dimension reduction using factor analysis, market segmentation using cluster analysis techniques, and brand positioning through perceptual mapping.
As Associate Manager at Nielsen, Merriah managed projects from conception, through execution and strategic report drafting. She has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and has shared that experience across a wide-range of industries. Her clients have included major Crown agencies and government departments across levels of government. She has also worked with major health charities and regulatory authorities.
Merriah is a Certified Analytics and Insights Professional (CAIP), a designation that recognizes a high level of knowledge and capability in marketing research theory and practice and adherence to rigorous ethical standards. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and Philosophy from Laurentian University. She has also earned post-graduate certificates in the Research Analyst Post-Graduate Program at Georgian College, and in Human Resources Management Program at Cambrian College. Merriah is a trained moderator through the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association.
