Liam is a Senior Consultant whose expertise includes policy development, government relations, cabinet and legislative strategy, and advocacy planning. He approaches advocacy by producing policy solutions that draw on his legal training, firsthand knowledge of government processes, and fifteen years of public affairs experience in Ottawa, Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
During his time in government, Liam was policy director for a federal minister in the public safety, international trade, and house leader portfolios. In Ontario, he advised a provincial minister in the natural resources, transportation and environment portfolios, and eventually served as Chief of Staff. He later applied that experience managing advocacy in the oil and gas sector. Before government, Liam practiced law in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Liam served on the National Council of the federal Conservative Party as well as the party’s policy, constitution, fund liaison and arbitration committees. He holds a law degree from Dalhousie University and a Honours Bachelor of Journalism (Journalism & History) from the University of King’s College. He was called to the Bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2006.
