Gwenda is an experienced executive administrator, providing a high-touch level of services to colleagues and clients alike. Since joining Earnscliffe in 2001, she has held administrative responsibility in numerous functions from accounting to human resources, and exercised her organizational, decision-making and problem-solving abilities to help facilitate the company’s growth.
Gwenda has extensive experience working with provincial and federal governments in Canada and abroad. Her time in the office of a former Deputy Premier of Alberta, provided an excellent foundation for understanding the intersection between government and the public. This was followed by roles with Alberta House and the forest products department at the Canadian High Commission in London, England, Natural Resources Canada and the office of a Senator in the Senate of Canada in Ottawa. During her time in England, Gwenda also joined the office of a Member of Parliament in the UK House of Commons providing administrative support to the MP and liaising with the constituency office and constituents. One of the more interesting aspects of her job there was hosting constituents as they toured the Palace of Westminster.
Gwenda is a strong advocate of inclusion and equity and values life-long learning both in and out of the classroom. She has volunteered for a small start-up, Women in Communications and Technology and at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
She was on the Board of Directors for Women in Communications and Technology and currently serves on Earnscliffe Strategies Board of Directors.
