Deborah Elson brings to Earnscliffe clients her extensive experience in association and project management, public policy, and stakeholder relationship management.
A seasoned public affairs professional, she has worked in senior roles in both the federal government and the private sector. Her policy expertise includes natural resources, energy and transportation, including a decade of experience advising the renewable fuels sector.
As Vice-President, Public Affairs for the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association, Deborah directed government and stakeholder relations of a large national trade industry association. She directly supported the Board of Directors, and was the public face for the industry on multiple government and cleantech industry committees.
She has successfully represented fuel producers, technology, industry and agricultural feedstock supply companies, and is a trusted advisor to policy minds in both government and industry. A highly regarded as a premier dialogue facilitator and event planner, Deborah also possesses extensive special event production and management expertise.
Prior to joining Earnscliffe, Deborah served as Senior Policy Advisor to former Natural Resources Minister, Hon. Jim Carr. She also formerly managed the press office in the Prime Minister’s Office.
