Bruce Young joined Earnscliffe in September 2004, opening the company’s British Columbia office. Bruce deploys his communications, political and public policy expertise to provide strategic counsel to a wide variety of CEOs, corporate leaders, elected politicians and public servants. As founding principal for the Earnscliffe Strategy Group BC, Bruce has led the growth and expansion of the company in the western Canadian marketplace.
Previously, he served in a number of senior capacities within the Federal government and corporate Canada. Bruce was the Senior Vice President, Western Operations for a respected global communications agency and was named one of Business in Vancouver’s top 40 under 40 for his leadership. Previously, Bruce was appointed senior advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, where he was responsible for the full run of BC specific issues facing the federal cabinet. Throughout his thirty-year involvement in politics and business he has held numerous other senior positions including Director of Government Relations for Bell Canada, Special Advisor to the Federal Minister of Health, BC Campaign Co-Chairman for the Liberal Party of Canada, and several high-profile volunteer positions on winning provincial and municipal campaigns. He maintains an active membership in the Public Affairs Association of Canada – BC.
Bruce is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he received a degree in Political Science.
