Stella Ambler brings a deep and comprehensive understanding of politics, civil service and public policy to Earnscliffe with a focus on client issues and interests affected by Queen’s Park.

Stella has 30 years of knowledge and experience in community activism, party politics and campaigns. She has also served in key roles at the provincial and federal level, including four years as Member of Parliament for Mississauga South.

Stella worked for the Honourable Mike Harris at Queen’s Park and for the Ontario PC Party. At the federal level, she was the Director of Regional Affairs for the GTA for Minister of Finance Jim Flaherty, before her election to Parliament in 2011.

As an MP, Stella was instrumental in securing government support for many projects that continue to improve Mississauga’s local and regional infrastructure, environment and heritage preservation.

On Parliament Hill, Stella served on the House of Commons Parliamentary Standing Committee on Environment & Sustainable Development, Status of Women Committee, and was Chair of the Special Committee on Violence Against Aboriginal Women. She was also a member of the Board of Internal Economy and Chair of the Canada-Italy Friendship Group. As a regular panelist on CTV’s Power Play, Stella debated the issues of the day with warmth and common sense.
