Rachel Klassen is an energetic and dynamic communications professional with a passion for creativity, collaboration and challenging the status quo. Rachel is driven by a commitment to thoughtful design and attention to detail in the development and execution of strategic communications plans and materials. Having lived, worked and studied in two of Canada’s largest cities, including Vancouver where she now resides, Rachel brings a unique blend of perspectives and interprovincial experiences to every aspect of her work.
Prior to joining Earnscliffe in 2016, Rachel utilized her ability to cultivate meaningful relationships as a member of the external relations and communications team dedicated to developing a proposed, multi-billion dollar major project in the natural resource sector. In this role, Rachel focused on creating marketing materials, brand management, supporting stakeholder engagement and public consultation. As the large scale project evolved, Rachel and the team focused on continually adapting to the changing needs and priorities. Rachel has also led a successful team of customer service professionals within an Alberta-based Crown corporation in the finance sector, providing effective leadership, driving business objectives, and managing client development to deliver results while increasing team engagement.
Dedicated to ongoing learning, Rachel has broadened her knowledge base over the past decade through continuous studies, including Land Asset Management at Mount Royal University, and Graphic Design at British Columbia’s Institute of Technology. In the spirit of community, Rachel has also had the privilege of planning and executing several successful annual corporate fundraising campaigns with non-profit organizations, such as the United Way and the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
