Susie Heath joined Earnscliffe in April 2018, bringing nearly a decade of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, government relations and political campaigns.

Most recently, Susie spent over three years in a senior national public affairs role at Uber where she led the communications strategy that resulted in the regulation of ridesharing in communities across Canada, beginning with Ottawa and Toronto.  Susie acted as a national spokesperson for the company, and worked closely with community groups to gain support for the introduction of municipal ridesharing legislation.

Prior to her work at Uber, Susie spent over six years at Queen’s Park, working with the McGuinty and Wynne governments, serving as Senior Communications Advisor and Press Secretary to the minister of Finance.  She held numerous other senior communications and legislative advisor roles to the ministers of Community and Social Services, and Natural Resources, and to the government house leader.

With her deep knowledge of provincial and federal policy files, she has informed senior-level communications and media relations campaigns on sensitive issues. She also provided strategic leadership on some of the most challenging files in government, including the 2013 and 2014 minority government budgets, the introduction of the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan, auto insurance, the Liquor Control Board of Ontario and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission.  She also led the communications and legislative efforts on the reintroduction of the 2014 budget after the Liberals’ successful re-election.

Active with the Liberal Party for over a decade, she has extensive campaign experience, managing media relations for the GTA and southwestern Ontario, and supporting the party’s war room on policy files related to finance and social services.

Born in London, England, she was raised in Toronto. She holds an Honours degree in political science and international relations from the University of British Columbia.
