Michael Drummond is a senior public affairs strategist with close to 20 years’ experience in politics, communication and government.  He is trusted by his clients to help them navigate through complex public policy challenges at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.

A passionate believer in leveraging public opinion research and digital advocacy tools, Michael ensures his clients have the right messages and the ability to target and engage stakeholders effectively.  His style and approach come from years of volunteer work with progressive political parties, leading public consultation efforts, building coalitions, and mobilizing partners.

Since joining Earnscliffe in 2004, he has worked with a broad spectrum of leading local and global companies, member based associations, and not-for-profits achieve their public policy goals. His current portfolio of clients includes those in the finance, legal, NGO, technology, and infrastructure sectors.

Previously, Michael served as the Manager of Government Relations and Public Consultation for the Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority (TransLink). Before that, Michael worked in Ottawa, acting in various policy and advisory roles, including Special Advisor – British Columbia to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and Natural Resources Canada.

Michael received a B.A. in Communications from Simon Fraser University and is currently a board member for the Public Affairs Association of Canada (BC Chapter).
