Carling is an accomplished project and campaign manager with expertise in public policy, government relations, stakeholder engagement and communications. Having spent 10 years driving results on a variety of projects, she has developed an excellent understanding of the operations and culture of non-profits, companies and government.

Carling has worked for Premier Christy Clark and Premier Gordon Campbell. Carling spent time strategizing and executing key events for both Premiers. She was focused on stakeholder and intergovernmental issues. During her time in the Premier’s office she planned the Western Premiers’ Conference, the 2011 Olympic Anniversary celebration, a joint Province of BC and Washington State cabinet meeting, and a Metro Vancouver Mayors Council Meeting.

Carling joined Earnscliffe in March of 2016 after working with another prominent public affairs firm in Vancouver. She built strong working relationships between corporate and government officials, resulting in a better understanding of, and response to clients’ concerns, such as the need for a sharing economy in BC. Carling has provided government relations, public opinion research and communications advice to clients in the energy, technology, film & television, transportation, healthcare and solid waste management sectors.

Carling started her career working on high profile events including corporate hospitality programs at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and Vancouver in 2010, the 2012 UBS Investment Bank flagship European Conference, and the Olympic programming for the Canadian High Commission at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Carling is an active BC Liberal who has been a vital player on many key campaigns around British Columbia. Carling has an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
