Bruce Young joined Earnscliffe in September 2004, opening the company's British Columbia office. Bruce leverages his communications, political and public policy expertise to provide strategic counsel to a wide variety of public servants and corporate leaders. As managing principal for the Earnscliffe Strategy Group B.C, Bruce has led the growth and expansion of the company in the BC and Alberta marketplace.
Previously, he served in a number of senior capacities within the Federal government and corporate Canada. Bruce was the Senior Vice President, Western Operations for a respected global communications agency and was named one of Business in Vancouver's 2003 top 40 under 40 for his leadership. In 2003, Bruce was appointed senior advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, where he was responsible for the full run of BC specific issues facing the federal cabinet. Throughout his twenty-five year involvement in politics and business he has held numerous other senior positions including Director of Government Relations for Bell Canada, Special Advisor to the Federal Minister of Health, BC Campaign Co-Chairman for the Liberal Party of Canada, and several high profile volunteer positions with the BC Liberal Party. He maintains an active membership in the Government Relations Institute of Canada.
Bruce is a graduate of the University of British Columbia where he received a degree in Political Science.
