Marlene Floyd   principal

Ms. Floyd brings a strong knowledge of government and political processes acquired through several years of providing strategic policy and communications advice to senior management in the public and private sector.  Prior to joining Earnscliffe, Marlene worked in the Regulatory and Government Affairs department of a large national telecommunications company where she led multi-divisional teams to identify and solve complex regulatory and policy issues.

Marlene has also served as Policy Advisor to the Minister of Industry from 2004 – 2006.  During that time, Marlene was instrumental in the design and launch of the “Telecommunication Policy Review Panel”, a major priority agenda item for the Government of Canada.  This initiative was designed to ensure Canada remains a global leader in the Telecommunications and ICT sector. 

Marlene earned her Bachelor of Arts, Double Major, Economics and Political Science from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick.  Marlene is also Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of LiveWorkPlay and a member of Women in Government Relations and the Women’s Executive Network.
