André Albinati principal
Prior to joining Earnscliffe in April 2002, Mr. Albinati served as Senior Policy Advisor to a federal cabinet minister in portfolios as diverse as International Cooperation, Human Resources Development Canada and International Trade in the management of Canada's multilateral trade agenda. While working to launch the “Doha Development Agenda” at the World Trade Organization, Mr. Albinati was also the lead advisor to the Minister on several bilateral trade issues, including the softwood lumber dispute with the United States.
Mr. Albinati continues to actively participate in campaign policy development and strategy for a number of senior political leadership and electoral campaigns, particularly in the areas of parliamentary affairs, industrial policy, transport issues, R&D/science and technology policy and international trade. Prior to his arrival in Ottawa, Mr. Albinati was a researcher in the Office of Alberta’s Official Opposition and was an active volunteer, serving as campaign strategist for numerous federal and provincial politicians. Mr. Albinati is a graduate of the University of Alberta.
